18th Annual Paso Robles Rotary Winemakers' Cookoff

About 8 month(s) ago by Allegretto Vineyard Resort

In the Central Californian haven known for its pure wine and local foods, what sounds more inviting than watching these top winemakers and chefs come together and compete? The Paso Robles Rotary Winemakers’ Cookoff has become one of the city’s most anticipated wine and food event. Stop by for its 18th annual event, which will be held on Saturday, August 13th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Paso Robles Event Center.

“The Paso Robles Winemakers’ Cookoff has become one of Paso Robles’ most popular wine, food and music events,” commented event co-chairperson, Vicky Silva, on the event’s website. “Participating wineries or breweries pair their grilled culinary creations with their finest wines or beers and compete for both Judges’ Choice and People’s Choice awards the day of the event. We are expecting tickets to sell out fast.”

This year’s participating wineries and breweries include:

Julie Beaver & the Bad Dogs, the popular jazz vocalist and fiddle player, will be returning for another year of live entertainment to the Paso Robles Rotary Winemakers’ Cookoff. The Central Coast musician plays anything from blues to bluegrass to Bach.

General tickets for the cookoff cost about $85 per person, while designated driver tickets cost $45 per person. Guests can buy tickets online via EventBrite.com. Given that the event has not sold out in advance, tickets will be available at the door between 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at a first-come, first-serve basis. All of the event’s proceeds will benefit the Harlow Ford Scholarship Fund for local, Paso Robles high school seniors. The Paso Robles Rotary donated $30,000 to Paso Robles High School scholarships from last year’s event.

Pair your locally produced wine with some fresh cuisine and some friendly competition during this year’s Paso Robles Rotary Winemakers’ Cookoff. Join this Paso Robles classic event and help contribute to the community’s next generation.
