Don't Miss Harvest Wine Weekend

About 1 year(s) ago by Allegretto Vineyard Resort by Ayres

Fall is the best time to visit wine country in Paso Robles. The leaves are changing from vibrant green to crimson and winemakers are eagerly preparing for this bustling time of year. Harvest season encompasses the art and romance of winemaking and with over 100 wineries joining the celebration this year, Harvest Wine Weekend in Paso Robles is something you don't want to miss...

The celebration begins on Friday, October 19 and runs through Sunday, October 21 at wineries throughout the Central Coast. There is no marquee ticketed event for Harvest Wine Weekend, you simply show up at your favorite Paso winery and enjoy. The cost to participate varies by winery and are listed on their respective websites. Each winery offers a variety of events including harvesting, grape stomping, live music, barbeques, and of course tons of wine samples.

Here are just a few highlights of winery events…

1.Robert Hall Winery kicks off the weekend on Friday at 5:00 p.m. with exceptional guitarist Ricky Montijo. As an eclectic singer-songwriter, Ricky will perform original music on the patio as guests enjoy a BBQ dinner and sample Robert Hall wines.

2.Opolo Winery is also hosting a kick-off event on Friday at 6:00 p.m. Guests are invited to a Harvest Dinner & Grape Stomp, where you can enjoy Opolo's finest food and wines, along with grape stomping and folk dancing. There are two parties to choose from and tickets are available now.

3.Wild Horse Winery is offering live music, great food, and wonderful wines all weekend from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. each day. Guests are invited to barrel taste wines from the wine library and new releases will be offered as well.

4.Croad Vineyards is having a Kiwi Style "Downunder" Harvest Party every day from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. where they're offering a BBQ with traditional Kiwi foods.  Along with wine tasting, guests can try their hand at playing the Didgeridoo, watch native dancers perform the "Haka" dance, and enjoy live music.

5.Nadeua Family Vintners is celebrating their 20th year with a small intimate event. Guests are invited to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy with the owners on the deck overlooking the vineyard. They boast a relaxed environment with no wine snobbery, where Robert will reminisce over the last 30 years in the local Paso wine scene.

6.Mitchella Vineyard & Winery invites you to sip, savor, and delight in their small lot of wines paired with artisan cheeses. Open every day from 10:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., they are offering self-guided tours, games ,and hand-passed appetizers to enjoy as you sip on their new fall releases.
