Not only is Paso Robles home to some of the purest wines, but the prime, Central Californian climate also helps to produce the best olives. Join the Paso Robles Olive Festival on Saturday, June 4th. The weekend celebration of the olive industry will take place at the Downtown City Park. The event will feature free olive oil and olive tastings, olive producers from all over California, open olive dish cooking contest, complimentary olive oil ice cream, Culinary Row serving delicious cuisine, and wine and beer tastings.
The 13th annual Paso Robles Olive Festival begins with a cooking competition that is open to anyone of any skill level at 9:30 a.m. The competition will lead to a head-to-head cook off where last year’s winner will compete to defend his title. The weekend event will officially open with the father from St. Rose Catholic Church blessing the festival. Throughout the first day, professional chefs will be offering cooking demonstrations, and vendors will be providing free samples and seminars about olives. There will also be music, wine and beer tasting, a Culinary Row, and entertainment for the children by the playground. The festivities will be alive and continuing until 5 p.m. that evening.
The festival will offer free admission with the exception of a $15.00 wine and beer tasting ticket and will be open to the public.
The luxurious Allegretto Vineyard Resort dwells in the heart of Paso Robles, where the Paso Robles Olive Festival will also be taking place.
