Vintage Paso is celebrating two not-to-be-missed events the weekend of March 17th. The first is their highly anticipated Zinfandel Weekend and the second is their 20th anniversary at the Vino Robles Hospitality Center.
The weekend will commence with the 20th Anniversary Winemaker’s Dinner, which celebrates the winery’s past, present, and future. This event will take place on Friday, March 17th from 6pm-8:30pm. Guests have the special opportunity to taste special library selections from current bottles to samples from releases to come. Throughout the night, winemaker Kevin Willenborg will be available to provide insight into Vintage Paso’s wine-making history.
The 20th Anniversary Winemaker’s Dinner will begin with a selection of passed appetizers, including an ahi tartar in a crispy shell, among a selection of other savory treats. The first course is a beet and goat cheese terrine with baby greens and roasted garlic dressing and the wine accompanying this meal is the 2002 Signature. The second course is a wild mushroom rotolo pasta with smoked tomato sauce, paired with a new release -- the 2014 Zinfandel. Guests can choose between two tempting options for the third course: beef short ribs braised with endpost or a Portobello mushroom filled with ratatouille. Both entrees are complemented by the delicious flavor of the 2003 Endpost -- Petite Sirah. Dessert, which is a Syrah Poached Pear Tart, then provides a sweet conclusion to this delicious meal and delightful wine tasting. Seating for this event is very limited, so reservations are required prior to March 10th. Tickets are $95 per person, or $85 per person if you are a wine club member.
On Saturday from 1-4pm, Amy Estrada will be offering complimentary live music in the Tasting Room as a part of the ongoing Saturday Live Series. No reservations are required for this event. The wines at Vintage Paso are not to be missed. They are produced in a style that combines the fresh flavors of California fruit with the type of balance exclusive to the great wines of Europe. This attention to detail and flavor is what makes their wine so unique and is why you should attend this weekend event.
