Mission San Miguel is an exquisite historical and cultural landmark in California. Built over two hundred years ago, this beautiful old adobe building was named for the Archangel Saint Michael and was founded by Father Fermin Francisco de Lasuen. This beautiful church is surrounded by rows of vineyards, almond trees, as well as horse and cattle ranches, making San Miguel the perfect retreat to the countryside.

If during your visit, you would like to attend a mass at San Miguel, their schedule is as follows:

· Monday through Friday: 8am (English)

· Saturday: 5pm (Vigil) (English) and 6:30pm (Vigil) (Spanish)

· Sunday: 7am (English), 12pm (English), and 6pm (Spanish)

Mission San Miguel also contains a gift shop, which is open daily from 10:00am to 4:30pm. The gift shop sells many beautiful crosses, rosaries, and religious statues in addition to other popular items such as San Miguel postcards and a short book about the church’s history.

When you visit San Miguel, ensure that you also visit their self-guided museum, which is open daily from 10:00am to 4:30pm. To enter the museum, there is a $5 fee for each adult and a $3 fee for children between the ages of 5 and 17. Children 5 and under are free. If you are visiting San Miguel with a group containing more than seven people, you can request a docent guided group tour on Monday through Friday. To schedule a tour, please call (805)-476-3256 at least three weeks prior to your expected arrival date.

On Sunday, September 24th, make sure you come to San Miguel to experience their annual fiesta. There will be live music, games for children, a raffle, a silent auction, and an abundance of delicious food.

Do not delay visiting this rich historical site and partaking in the many events the church offers its visitors.
