Spending hours basking in wine country with a glass of fine wine in your hand certainly brings much needed relaxation. Yet, so much of a vineyard’s appeal is becoming personally acquainted with how your wine has been hand-made and the people we have to thank for it. Hospice du Rhône, a Central Californian non-profit organization, aims to protect the Rhône community and the entire grape making process.
By popular demand, Hospice Du Rhône will be holding one of the world’s largest Rhône wine gatherings in beautiful Paso Robles Wine Country. It will take place from Thursday, April 14th to Saturday, April 16th at the Paso Robles Event Center. Each year, over 1,200 Rhône enthusiasts gather in Paso Robles for the annual celebration. From Rhône producers and importers to restaurateurs to wine industry representatives to passionate others who cannot be more fascinated with Rhône’s 22 varieties.
The weekend’s seminars offer a variety of informative material. On Friday, the two seminars are titled “The Intricacies of Châteauneuf du Pape” and “Washington Rhône – State of Address.” The two seminars that will take place the next day are “Costières de Nîmes – A Southern Rhône Exception for Whites” and “A Tale of Two Treasures: Paso Robles and Santa Barbara.”
Hospice Du Rhône offers several different passes for those looking forward to taking advantage of all of the event’s activities, including deals like the Weekend Pass and a “Tasty Twosome” pass. You can also purchase individual seminar passes for the specific offering you are interested in, or you can buy a seat for the Rosé Lunch or Opening Tasting.
