Pacific Conservatory Theatre Presents Beauty and the Beast

This summer the Pacific Conservatory Theatre will commence its summer productions with a beloved classic: Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. From June 15th-July 2nd, you can enjoy a fairytale about a prince that is transformed into a beast until he can learn to love and be loved.

The cast and crew behind this production have worked incredibly hard to ensure the play is a success. Among the behind-the-scenes crew members and their roles include: book by Linda Woolverton, music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, choreography by Michael Jenkinson, musical director Brad Carroll, and director Mark Booher.

The musical promises to capture all the charm of the animated classic while adding an extra dimension to the magical tale. The musical remains true to the movie’s plot, with a few modifications. For instance, the audience will get a deeper insight into the Beast’s side of the story and there is also an increased emphasis on the relationship between Lumiere and Cogsworth.

Disney-lovers will rejoice at the classic songs featured in the musical. From the hilarious song, “Gaston,” to the lively, “Be Our Guest,” the musical promises to have the audience singing and dancing along. Furthermore, the dynamic choreography and intricate costumes add an extra dimension to the performance.
