The 2016 Paso Robles Vintage Report
Returning for the third year in a row to the Central Coast, the Vintage Report will host the region's leading winemakers, grape growers, and top scientists. Discussions at the Vintage Report revolve around the previous harvest and the purpose of this dialogue is to engage the greater industry on how thoughtful collaboration can foster sustainable and innovative vineyard practices to further improve wine quality. This is a truly special symposium where vintners break barriers of competition to discuss major challenges and successes. Discussions this year will focus on topics including: How can one grow the highest quality fruit while preserving precious resources in a region affected by intense heat waves and water scarcity? What physiological links exist between climate, plant condition, and fruit quality? In addition, the industry's leading scientist will broaden perspectives by presenting the latest research findings as they applied to the previous year's vintage. The Vintage Report stems from a willingness to encourage sustainable and efficient vineyard practices. We believe education will lead the way to inspire new ideas and foster enhanced growing methods in the wine industry. The conference combines scientific results with empirical knowledge and experience—connecting terroir and innovation. Please note, this event is open to winery and vineyard professionals including winemakers, assistant winemakers, viticulturists, vineyard managers and winery owners.
