Paso Robles Pioneer Museum

About 1 year(s) ago by Allegretto Vineyard Resort by Ayres

The Paso Robles Pioneer Museum boasts a wonderful collection of visual and written history of life in California during the 19th and 20th centuries. The museum features a one-of-a-kind display of cultural, agricultural, and commercial artifacts that have been brought together to educate the Paso Robles community about California’s rich history.

When you tour the museum, you will encounter many interesting artifacts such as the old schoolhouse donated in 2004. This schoolhouse teaches visitors about the many one-room school houses that dotted the countryside prior to the turn of the last century. The schoolhouse shows a typical classroom where studies centered around “readin’, ‘ritin’, and ‘rithmetic.” The museum also showcases an old windmill on its grounds as a reminder of the importance of local farmers and ranchers. These artifacts are just a few of some of the spectacular things you will encounter during your visit.

If you wish to visit the museum it is open Thursday through Sunday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Admission is free, so feel welcome to learn about California’s interesting past. For any questions about the Paso Robles Pioneer Museum please call 805-239-4556.
